SSW Alumna Samantha Balbier Named New Executive Director of the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership

SSW alumna Samantha Balbier have been names the new executive director of the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership.  According to an announcement made by the GPNP: "Sam is a long-time Pittsburgh resident with a demonstrated track record in policy analysis, development, strategic communications, and building collaborations to mobilize policy makers and the public to take action. She is passionate about the nonprofit sector’s role and value in building strong communities. Most recently she served as the Lead Consultant for the Pennsylvania Early Childhood Education Healthy & Green Initiative, which involved working with the Heinz Endowments and several Pennsylvania State Government Departments to build a system that supports green building improvements and emphasizes environmental health in Pennsylvania’s early childhood programs. Prior to this engagement, Sam was involved with a variety of initiatives. Notably in the Pittsburgh community, she served as a Program Associate at The Heinz Endowments for Children, Youth and Families from 1998 until 2002."
