  • Business Cards are being offered at a reduced price of $6 for 100 cards (regular price is $25). Visit the Google form for students to sign-up. Please fill in the information that you would like to see on your cards (i.e., if they are graduating in December and they would prefer it say MSW vs. MSWc, then be sure to include that). The cards will be printed as written on the Google form so please review before submitting. These will be available from now until September 27 at 11:59pm.

  • Turnt Up Happy Hour will be taking place on Friday, September 27 at Warehouse Pub & Grub, 1731 Murray Ave., from 5-8pm. This happy hour is open to all SSW students of color. Attendees will receive two free drink tickets, free appetizers (vegan and vegetarian options included), and a free raffle ticket, which is being provided by the Union of Black Social Work Students
  • Cheers, Queers & Gender-Expansive Folx will be taking place on Friday, October 11, which is National Coming Out Day. This event is open to all SSW who identify as queer or gender-expansive and will be held from 5:30-7pm at 5801 Video Lounge, located at 5801 Ellsworth Ave. 
  • Inclusive Language Training on Tuesday, October 15 from 12-1pm in CL2017. This  training will offer attendees the opportunity to learn about gender within cultures/systems/interpersonal exchanges. This one-hour training will aim to clarify misconceptions about gender v. sex, illuminate the importance of respecting pronouns and identities, provide folks with alternatives to binary assumptions, and offer the space to make mistakes in an effort to move towards inclusive language together. Questions and thoughts, which are rooted in good faith, are welcome.Open to all SSW Students, Faculty, and Staff.
