Students can check their Graduation Status at any time in their Student Center by navigating to Self Service > Degree Progress/Graduation > View Graduation Status.

Students can check their Graduation Status at any time in their Student Center by navigating to Self Service > Degree Progress/Graduation > View Graduation Status.
Apply for Graduation from the University of Pittsburgh:
- Complete the online application by logging into my.pitt.edu and following these instructions.
- If you are pursuing a degree, minor, certificate, or distinction in more than one academic program/school you will need to submit an application for each program.
- If you’ve applied for graduation and need to postpone, please reach out to sswgrads@pitt.edu
- Students are responsible for reapplying for graduation in the subsequent semester they expect to graduate. Students are not automatically rolled over onto future graduation rosters.
- Your name on your graduation application must be identical to the way it appears in PeopleSoft. You will be required to provide legal documentation to change your name. Acceptable forms of documentation are:
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage Certificate
- Divorce Decree
- Formal Court Order

August 2024 Graduation Deadlines and Important Dates
- June 1, 2024: Applications submitted now must include a $25.00 late fee.
- July 26, 2024: Final deadline for submitting August 2024 Graduation Applications by 5:00 pm.
- August 10, 2024: Official date for degrees awarded for AUGUST 2024 graduation.
- Sept 6, 2024: Transcripts with August 2024 degrees posted available. Order your transcript.
- Sept 23, 2024: OUR will begin mailing diplomas for the August 2024 graduates.
