Five years after the Homewood Children's Village was founded by SSW Professor and Homewood native John Wallace, the program boasts a staff of 13 and a team of volunteers, and runs more than a dozen social service programs, including health seminars, a weekend lunch program for students, a college preparatory class and mentoring for students in the neighborhood's public schools.
