Dear colleagues and students,
Once again we are faced with continuing injustice in America. The acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse is another assault on justice, a damning reflection of our nation and its court system’s biases, and a reminder that our country has a long way to go to reckon with racism.
We know how much work needs to be done. And we know how complex this work is. I hope that we can come together to support each other, our students, and our friends and families as we struggle with this verdict and the messages that it sends.
