Harm Reduction training with Prevention Point Pittsburgh

Street Medicine at Pitt is a student-run interdisciplinary organization that strives to bring healthcare and social support to the rough-sleeping and unhoused community in Pittsburgh, PA. They value authentic, relationship-based care through interprofessional teamwork and a lens of health equity. Pitt students, faculty, and staff are welcome to be involved through their educational events, community volunteering, and street medicine rounds.

They especially would like to invite interested social work students to join their efforts!

You may join their general email list at www.streetmedatpitt.org/contact.

You can also complete onboarding and orientation for their street rounds at www.streetmedatpitt.org/orientation. They currently have a wait list for street rounds, but are prioritizing applicants that attend events, assist with general volunteering (i.e. sandwich making to meal prep prior to rounds), and/or from departments with needed representation in their group (social work included!).

Their upcoming event is a Harm Reduction training with Prevention Point Pittsburgh, open to all on Monday February 13th, 2023 from 6-8 PM in Public Health Building Room G23
