Molly Allwein

A 2011 graduate of the COSA program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, Molly is a licensed, master's level social worker with a passion for working toward equity and inclusion in all its forms. Molly is currently the Director of Professional Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work where she oversees the development and delivery of over a hundred trainings a year. These trainings consist of short workshops all the way to in-depth 30+ hour long institutes, and all are advanced level continuing and professional education for licensed helping professionals in Pennsylvania. In addition, Molly manages the LCSW Clinical Supervision Training Institute and Matching Program which provides free clinical supervision to social workers with traditionally marginalized backgrounds in partnership with the Staunton Farm Foundation.

Formerly, Molly was the Senior Marketing and Community Affairs Manager for VisitPITTSBURGH, the official destination marketing organization for Allegheny County. Molly lead VisitPITTSBURGH’s local awareness and community engagement efforts. She also chaired the 2022 Committee at VisitPITTSBURGH, which was dedicated to promoting internal millennial leadership in long-term strategic planning for the organization.

Molly is also a leader in the Pittsburgh community. She is a current member of the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania's Women in Leadership Program, as well as the Bridges Society for young leaders under 45, and even serves as the Bridges Society chair of the Pitt United Way Campaign. In addition, Molly is a member of HEARTH’s Young Professionals Board where she serves with a dedicated and committed group of volunteers. Molly is a 2017 graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh's Leadership Development Initiative cohort. Her passion for working to enhance the lives of women in Southwestern Pa was fueled by her time learning about the barriers facing women in the Coro Pittsburgh Women in Leadership program. Molly also sits on the School of Social Work Alumni Advisory Board.
