Registration now open RECI fall 2022 cohort

The Racial Equity Consciousness Institute—facilitated via an immersive, learning and dialogue cohort—takes a critical systems thinking approach to thinking through race, racism, and antiracism. The Institute guides and engages participants through the racial equity consciousness framework to analyze the complexity and pervasiveness of racism, and reflect on what they can do, personally and collectively, to advance racial equity in their communities.

Through the institute, participants explore and engage six bilateral spheres of racial equity consciousness development in efforts to expand capacity to seek, consider, and adopt different social perspectives; promote personal growth and empowerment; enhance cultural humility, cultural competence, and cultural agency; and ultimately, embody the mindsets and capabilities to cultivate antiracist practices, communities, and cultures.

The cohort will meet in the Center on Race and Social Problems (Room 2017, Cathedral of Learning) and light fare will be provided. In-person seating is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
