PhD alum making an impact at Pitt

Doctoral program alumnus Dr. Daniel Jacobson López was appointed the 1st ever Chair of Diversity and Inclusion for the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association at the University. He will be focused on highlighting the experiences of marginalized groups at Pitt, including Latinx, Black, Jewish, Muslim and LGBT postdocs and faculty and creating programming to support doctors of color at the University. 

Dr. López was also selected as a CEED Scholar at the Institute for Clinical Research Education in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute, at the University of Pittsburgh. The CEED Program is a career development fellowship for doctors from underrepresented racial/ethnic minority groups in the health sciences. The fellowship provides scholars with a solid foundation for successful career in a collegial environment through skill training, networking, coursework, and mentoring from scholars of color. He would like to thank his mentors at Pitt Public Health.
