MSW student wins award

MSW student Abby Yochum was the recipient of the graduate student Iris Marion Young Award. The award celebrates Iris Marion Young's legacy by honoring members of the Pitt community who work to promote social justice and democracy.Abby Yochum is a third-year, joint-degree student in the School of Law and School of Social Work. She is a Pittsburgh native of the South Hills. She is currently the Director of Development at the Pitt Legal Income Sharing Foundation, Vice President of the Pitt Law Democrats, and Articles Editor of the Pittsburgh Tax Review. She is also a proud Planned Parenthood volunteer and former intern. She hopes to continue her career in the area of feminist advocacy and reproductive rights.Read more on Pitt's webpage.
