Jacobs wins Stier Award

This year's Florence Stier Award has gone to Dr. Leah Jacobs for her proposed research entitled, "Mobile Crisis Teams: Testing the Potential for Perpetuating Disparities."

This research aims to understand decision-making when handling mental health crisis calls and factors that may influence crisis workers’ use of coercive interventions (e.g., calling law enforcement, petitioning for civil commitment).

Dr. Jacobs will carry out this work with Co-I Nev Jones (Social Work), Jack Rozel (Medical Director of ReSolve Crisis, Psychiatry), and Alex Fixler (Social Work Doctoral Student).
