MSW Alumnus Dave Feehan secured a grant from the Minneapolis Health Department for the 2022 Blueprint Approved Institute Fellowship program, a national violence reduction program. The grant was to the Dinkytown Business Alliance, the district adjacent to the University of Minnesota main campus in Minneapolis. The district has seen a spike in crime against residents and students. The grant will be managed by Feehan and will employ a student from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the UMN.
