MSW Academic Advisor

Dr. Roxanne Dee Garcia serves as the MSW Academic Advisor for both online and in-person students at the University of Pittsburgh’s Oakland campus. In this role, she provides comprehensive academic advising, supports student success, and guides graduate students throughout their academic journey.

Dr. Garcia earned her PhD and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas.

Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Garcia served as an adjunct instructor at an early college high school in Pharr, Texas, where she supported students in achieving academic excellence and preparing for college-level study. She has also served as a Scholarship Selection Committee Member in South Texas, helping recognize and support outstanding student achievement.

Dr. Garcia is committed to student advocacy, academic excellence, and leadership development. She is passionate about empowering students to achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.
