Lauren joined the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work as Research Coordinator in the PathLab in March, 2026. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. After graduating, she worked in a clinical neurophysiology research lab focused on first-episode psychosis in Pittsburgh. Through this experience, along with her own lived experience, Lauren developed a strong interest in mental health treatment advocacy, social justice, and college student mental health. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Bioethics through the University of Pittsburgh. For her further career goals, she aspires to pursue an MD/PhD to become a psychiatrist and provide individualized, supportive, and collaborative care to those in need.
