Welcome our new PhD students:
- Clinton Gyimah – Clinton’s research explores formal and informal caregiving for older adults living with dementia. He will be working with Dr. Cotton.
- Thelda Sarpong – Thelda is a recent graduate of our BASW program and will be enrolled in the joint MSW/PhD program. She is interested in understanding how stigma, cultural values, and systemic inequities influence mental health literacy and care-seeking behaviors in Black communities in the U.S. and Ghana. She will be an Irvis Fellow next year.
- Meagan Vincello – Meagan is committed to re-envisioning the narratives and systems that shape our understandings of and responses to homelessness. She will be working with Dr. Jacobs.
- Ophelia Zornu – Ophelia plans to develop a career in mental health that integrates social work skills and prevention science to promote child and adolescent mental health. She will be working with Dr. Figuereo.
