Title: Parenting While Black: Designing, Implementing, and Assessing Racial Learning Interventions for Black Families
In this talk, Dr. Huguley will discuss the background, development, findings, and future directions of Parenting While Black programming, a suite of interventions supporting African American primary caregivers’ skill and confidence toward promoting four key youth outcomes: positive youth racial identity, discrimination coping, structural racism navigation, and mental health and wellness. Implications for racial learning science and intervention design across racial groups will also be discussed.
