Dr. Minseop Kim (Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dept of Social Work) and Dr. Nahri Jung (Seoul National University) will be visiting scholars at the School through the end of the semester. Dr. Jung is a graduate of the SSW PhD program, Dr. Kim was here with her (having finished his PhD at Penn), and their son, Jake, was born in Pittsburgh -- so it is a homecoming as well as a sabbatical! They both have fairly full plates while they are here -- but are definitely looking forward to interacting with faculty and identifying potential overlapping interests and collaborative possibilities. Dr. Kim's work focuses on service use by children in child welfare as well as the interplay between parenting and child development outcomes. Dr. Jung's work is focused on work-family conflict and family caregiving.
