Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh, which dates to 2015 and is a joint initiative between the Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging and Pitt School of Social Work, is also working to create a volunteer system called Bus Buddies, which will assist older community members with navigating public transportation.
