New international partnership kicks off with lecture from Moon

Dr. Deborah Moon, an Assistant Professor, is set to deliver an online lecture on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on June 19, 2025, for students at the Graduate School of Social Welfare at Ewha Women’s University in South Korea. This initiative is supported by the BK21 project, which is funded by the Korean government to enhance the quality of graduate education and research in Korea. The lecture is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) established last year between the Pitt School of Social Work and the Department of Social Welfare at Ewha Women’s University, which is South Korea's first institution of higher learning for women and is now a comprehensive research university. Located in Seoul, it has grown to become one of South Korea's most prestigious universities and the largest women's university in the world.  Dr. Moon will be delivering additional in-person lectures at Ewha in July 2025. The partnership will facilitate ongoing collaboration between Dr. Moon and faculty members as well as students at Ewha, promoting a global exchange in social work research and education.
