Hello MSW, and PhD Students
Want to meet fellow students, enjoy dinner, and learn something new? A group of Pitt faculty and researchers is looking for Pitt health sciences and social work students to attend interprofessional learning communities as part of a research study!
Here’s the scoop:
• What: An interprofessional learning community with students from across the health sciences and social work
• Topics: Misinformation, sustainability, bioethics, health screening, culinary medicine, health IT & AI, and point-of-care ultrasound
• When: Evenings, Fall 2026
• Perks: Dinner at every session and a badge at the end
• Why: Meet other health sciences and social work students to learn about a topic that’s of interest to you
Each learning community meets 6 times in the evening over the course of the semester. You’ll complete surveys before and after each session, but there is no graded work. Each collaborative can have up to 30 students. Social Work student who participated last spring reported really enjoying the experience. Click on the link below to see the dates for each of the topic areas (typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings).
Interested? Learn more and fill out the form on this page to sign up, and we’ll let you know if you’re selected.
