Dr. Nev Jones and PhD student Shannon Pagdon speak at major early psychosis conference in Berlin, connect with lived experience researchers from across Europe

In mid-September, Assoc Prof Nev Jones and doctoral student Shannon Pagdon presented at a total of 9 symposia or panels at the International Early Psychosis Association (IEPA) biennial conference in Berlin, Germany.  In addition, Nev and Shannon had the opportunity to meet with an influential critical psychiatry / survivor research group based in Berlin as well as lived experience / survivor researchers who travelled to the conference from Australia, the UK and other parts of Europe. The Pitt team also paid their respects at Berlin's Aktion T4 memorial, commemorating the estimated 200,000 to 300,000 individuals with psychiatric and other disabilities killed in Germany under Nazi orders between 1939 and 1945.
