Associate Professor Leah Jacobs has been appointed to the Allegheny County Safety and Justice Advisory Committee. The purpose of this committee is to advise and guide Allegheny County’s legal system reform efforts, by helping to advance strategies to safely reduce the jail population, address racial and ethnic disparities, and improve community engagement and outcomes. Says Dr. Jacobs, "I'm excited about this opportunity, both to impact the goal areas and to bridge related work in our school with these efforts."
