On April 9, 2025, the graduating BASW and MSW Hartford Fellows proudly presented their capstone projects to an audience of faculty, staff, peers, and community members. These projects are designed to strengthen leadership skills, foster collaboration, and create a positive impact on the lives of older adults.
This year, BASW students developed a comprehensive resource guide to help older adults in Allegheny County navigate local religious organizations and services. Meanwhile, MSW students partnered with JHF to support their Memory Cafés—engaging spaces where they facilitated reminiscence and hands-on activities for older adults with dementia, along with their caregivers and loved ones.
Congratulations to our 2025 Hartford Fellows for their meaningful contributions and dedication to improving the lives of older adults in our community! See their presentations on the SSW website.
