BASW students presented at research fair

Congratulations! On October 28th at the Undergraduate Research and Creative Expression Fair, BASW students Nicholas Efran, Autumn Germick, Annalise Gray, Laura Irwin, Onyinyechukwu Ogbuachi, Erica O'Hare, Maya Patterson, Carola Lina Petrucci, and Marly Rohrer from the BASW Introduction to Social Work Research, Honors section presented their project.

“Our BASW students presented their research project, Flourishing in the Community: Leveraging Social Work Practicum Sites to Understand Flourishing in the Community, which explores how social service professionals understand human flourishing and identify barriers and opportunities for communities to thrive," said faculty member Dr. Daniel Hyung Jik Lee. "Through the research planning process, students gained hands-on experience in research design, sampling strategies, survey development, and focus group guide development. By leveraging the School of Social Work’s practicum partnerships, this project demonstrates how undergraduate research can bridge classroom learning with community-engaged research and social work practice.”

They were supported by faculty members Drs. Cathy Breneman, Ron Idoko, and Daniel Hyung Jik Lee.
