BASW student talks about the importance of film at this year's Pride celebration

BASW student TJ Murphy, years-long executive director of Reel Q, marched with colleagues who may have had a little extra pep in their step: October sees the 40th anniversary of the group’s LGBTQ+ film festival.

Filmmaking is especially vital now in order to increase visibility for the community, he said.

"Storytelling through filmmaking is something that connects everybody, and what better way to connect with and learn about someone, than through film?" Mr. Murphy said.
