Wendell Freeland, Tuskegee airman, lawyer, pioneering civil rights leader and member of SSW Board of Visitor, dies at age 88 Wendell Freeland, a respected lawyer, pioneering civil rights leader and proud member of the Tuskegee airmen of World War II fame, died early Thursday morning after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Freeland was a member of the School of Social Work's Board of Visitors. Read more
