Those interested in hearing from local and national researchers, policymakers, employers, and low wage workers about the needs identified by these workers, the effects of raising wages on their lives, and plans to ensure Pittsburgh is a livable city for all of its citizens, joined us for a two day symposium on September 6-7, 2018. The first day consisted of three panels during the day followed by a group discussion on methodological challenges and opportunities for research on low wage workers. While the second was an open event with panels by both workers and policy makers at the Wyndham Hotel – Pittsburgh University Center.
