Keith Caldwell received his MSW from Pitt’s School of Social Work and a BSW from Niagara University.

Currently the school’s Director of the BASW Program and an Assistant Professor, Caldwell previously was Director of Career Services and Alumni Affairs for the School.

He held the position of Director for Advancement for North Hills Community Outreach. In that role, he had primary responsibility over Compassion Allegheny, a federally funded project providing capacity building training and technical assistance to faith-based and community-based organizations throughout Allegheny County.

Prior to that, he served as Community Development Coordinator for the Allegheny County Department of Human Services’ Office of Behavioral Health/System of Care Initiatives. This federal demonstration project worked to provide families with community-based, family driven, culturally competent service coordination.

He currently serves President of the Board of Directors for Advancing Academics and Commission President for the Program to Aid Citizen Enterprise. In 2013 he was recognized as one of Pittsburgh’s “40 Under 40” reflecting his commitment to the city and service with the community.

Caldwell teaches in both the BASW and MSW programs including:
