Laurie Mejia
- Research Manager
Laurie Mejia joined the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work as Research Administrator in September, 2017. Mejia has 25 years of experience in research administration at the University of Pittsburgh with 8 years as a research administrator in the School of Medicine, 7 years in the School of Arts and Sciences and 10 years as a Grants and Contracts Officer in Pitt’s Office of Research. Prior to working in research administration, Mejia held finance positions in various offices at Pitt. She received her Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting at Robert Morris College, a Master of Business Administration with a major in finance from Pitt’s Katz Graduate School of Business, and most recently became a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) through the Research Administrators Certification Council. She is also a member of the Society of Research Administrators (SRA) and participates regularly in local SRA meetings.
