NASW-PA Annual Conference starts Oct. 25

Adjunct faculty member James Andrews and Baker Fellow Kyle Terrill, are among the presenters at this year's NASW-PA virtual conference.

Oct 26 4-5:30pm: Panelist for "The NASW Ethics Forecast, Envisioning the Future of Social Work Ethics". Workshop description: "The NASW Code of Ethics (COE) is a living and ever evolving document. The COE has advanced over the years to respond to modern practice standards and challenges. A panel of professionals from a spectrum of stages in their professional careers will discuss where they see the NASW COE heading."  He will be specifically addressing relationship and boundary issues with a particular focus on social media relationships. 

Oct 27 6-9pm: Workshop titled "Identifying and Confronting Fake News" as one of the closing conference workshops. Workshop description: "The NASW Code speaks to the social workers' responsibilities to broader society. This workshop presents a discussion of these responsibilities and a skills development section addressing how to assess and respond to 'fake news' media and engage in a meaningful discussion with those supporting or promulgating such media content."
