Associate Professor Nev Jones has had several speaking engagements throughout the spring and summer:
In May, Dr. Jones delivered the 2026 Drs. Fred and Penny Frese endowed lecture at Northeastern Ohio Medical University, honoring the legacy of lived experience pioneer Fred Frese. Dr. Jones' lecture is now available on YouTube.
In June, Dr. Jones delivered the Woodcock Endowed Public Lecture in Melbourne Australia, sponsored by Wellways, one of the largest mental health policy and service NGOs in Australia. In addition to the lecture, she presented additional workshops on measurement and visited Melbourne area mental health facilities and programs.
Earlier in July, Dr. Jones presented a keynote on the historical and contemporary entanglements of psychosis/madness, race and poverty in law and policy at the ISPS International Biennial. While at the conference she also led panels on antipsychotic discontinuation, phenomenological psychiatry and involuntary outpatient commitment.
Also in July, Dr. Jones was featured on The Crisis Podcast, incorporating discussion of her research, advocacy and time in Trieste, Italy last year. Listen here.
