Abstract: Poet, playwright, and writing teacher Reinekke Langelle will discuss the Career Writing method that she co-developed to employ creative, expressive, and reflective writing to foster career identity development and agency. She will describe how she used this approach to express and explore her grief regarding the illness and death of her spouse. Her experience culminated in the publication of Writing the Self in Bereavement: A Story of Love, Spousal Loss, and Resilience, which won the 2022 Outstanding Qualitative Book Award from the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry.
