The social work landscape is changing. We have more information at our fingertips than ever before. Telehealth technologies are being successfully utilized to broaden the reach of many practices. It is important for Social Workers to understand these services in a way that they can explain to consumers. As of January 1, 2018 NASW made significant changes to the Code of Ethics, many of which focus around technology. The updated Code encourages Social Workers to be thoughtful of the impact of technology on everyday practice and to adjust policies and procedures accordingly. During this workshop we will take a deeper look at these changes to help participants understand the updates and how they have the potential to impact practice.
