Tracy M. Soska Endowed Fund

With a small group of Pitt Social Work alumni and friends taking the lead, more than forty donors raised more than $20,000 to create the Tracy M. Soska Endowed Fund in honor of retiring Clinical Associate Professor, COSA Chair, and Continuing Education Director, Tracy Soska.  The announcement was made at Pitt Social Work’s Afternoon of Recognition commencement ceremony on Sunday, April 28.  Now that the fund is public, others are invited to join.  Go to https://giveto.pitt.edu, click the “Give Now” button, select “Choose Area to Support”, check the “Other” box at the bottom of the pop-up window, and type in “SOSKA Fund” in the text box to make an online contribution.  Checks can be made out to “University of Pittsburgh” with “Soska Fund” in the memo line and mailed to:

Tracy Soska gets standing ovation

Soska’s primary interests are in community organizing and social administration, workforce development, collaboration and coalition building, and university-community engagement and partnerships. Prior to joining the University and School of Social Work faculty, Soska was a nonprofit executive for over 15 years. Soska has published and presented nationally in the area of university and community partnerships, citizen leadership development and capacity building, service-learning, and community development and community work, including comparative U.S. and E.U. perspectives.
