Biography
Doctoral candidate Yoonmi Kim received her MSW from the California State University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in social welfare from SungKyunKwan University in Seoul, South Korea.
Since earning her MSW, Yoonmi has worked at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs in Seoul. Her published joint research includes a study of standardization of long-term care facilities and a study for the second simulation model for Korean long-term care insurance. Kim’s professional interests are in the areas of aging, long-term care, family caregivers, health care disparity, mental health, end-of-life care, and social gerontology.
