Biography

Rachel Fusco’s research interests include the co-occurrence of child maltreatment and exposure to domestic violence, factors that mediate outcomes of children who are maltreated or exposed to violence, and the impact of parental substance abuse and mental health problems on children’s well-being. She is also committed to improving child welfare service delivery through evidence-based practice.

Dr. Fusco earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and M.S.S.W. from the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving her M.S.S.W she worked with children and families in the child welfare system, in a domestic violence shelter, and in adult and adolescent mental health treatment programs.
