School of Social Work and Equality Pennsylvania Co-Host White House LGBT Summit in Pittsburgh on August 30 WHAT: The White House, in partnership with federal agencies and local LGBT organizations, has been hosting regional LGBT summits around the country for several years. These summits provide an opportunity to highlight federal services available to the LGBT community, lift up the work of local LGBT activists and allies, and create a networking forum for advocates to connect and discuss ideas. Recent summits include Phoenix, Detroit, St. Louis, and others. WHERE: The summit is being held and hosted at the University of Pittsburgh at the University Club located at 123 University Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15260 (UCLUB on Campus Map). Here is a link to the campus map. WHEN: The Summit will be open to the press from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. WHO: The Summit is co-hosted by Equality Pennsylvania Education Fund, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the White House.
