Pitt's United Way Campaign begins

Dear Colleagues,

I am excited to announce that the annual Pitt United Way Campaign has begun!

Last year, Pitt raised over $648,735 for the community. Thank you all for your generosity.

Please join me in supporting United Wayin this year’s campaign. I urge you to consider designating all or a portion of your gift to United Way’s Work in our Community through the Impact Fund & Community Initiatives. The Impact Fund supports a wide array of services that are helping:

  • United for Children
  • Helping Seniors to Live Safely at Home
  • Helping Financially Struggling Families
  • Empowering People with Disabilities to Achieve Greater Independence
  • United for Women: Supporting Women through Short-Term Crisis
  • PA 2-1-1 Southwest: Connecting People with Vital Services
  • Disaster Relief
  • Mission United: Supporting Returning Vets

Your gift helps them and many more.

You can also designate particular organizations receive the donations, and as many of you volunteer with United Way agencies, this is an excellent way to support them.

You can easily donate now by going to mypitt.edu and click on the green United Way button on the left-hand side of the screen.

The School of Social Work is proud to LIVE UNITED by supporting United Way of Southwestern PA.

If you have any questions about the campaign, please contact this year’s campaign chairperson Shannon Murphy at shm87@pitt.edu.
