Local Government Case Competition Opening for Registration! An Information Session will Be Held on September 16

The Allegheny County Department of Human Services will again host the Local Government Case Competition!  This competition gives students the opportunity to work with other Pittsburgh Area graduate students on an interdisciplinary team to solve a public sector problem, network with community stakeholders and win cash prizes.

Like other case competitions, the LGCC highlights challenges and managerial dilemmas faced by government leaders. Competing teams work under pressure to solve a real problem, using simulated business conditions such as time-critical deadlines and incomplete information to formulate action-oriented recommendations.

An information session for those interested in the competition will be held on Monday, September 16 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Room 2017 of the Cathedral of Learning.  The session will be presented by Kelly Wilkinson, MSW, a Local Government Scholar with the Department of Human Services. Free food and refreshments will be provided.
