Alumni Society Board President passes away

It is with tremendous sadness that Pitt Social Work shares the passing of the president of its alumni society board, Eileen Carlins (MSW ’01, BASW ’00).  Eileen was a tireless advocate for children, working as Director of Support and Education for Cribs for Kids, a national safe sleep nonprofit based in Pittsburgh.  She was so proud of her Pitt Social Work degree and she represented the school and its alumni at functions like new student orientation, Homecoming, graduation, and at University-wide events and meetings as a representative to the Pitt Alumni Association.  The Pitt Social Work family mourns her loss.Read more about her amazing life in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and on the John F.
