Working with Community Agencies to Promote a Cooperative Research Agenda Nov 4, 2014, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Working with Community Agencies to Promote a Cooperative Research Agenda, presented by Catherine Greeno, PhD, Associate Dean for Research, School of Social Work. Translational researchers increasingly face the need develop collaborations with community agencies to maximize opportunities to apply their research findings to real world problems. Some of the challenges of working in the wider community are discussed in this workshop, including presenting your research agenda/project to an agency and asking them to allow you to recruit, working with an agency to develop a shared research agenda around a common interest, and deciding what to do when an agency that you work closely with wants your help with an idea that they came up with, but that you may or not may believe in.
