What does Mental Health Mean to the Black Community? Oct 29, 2016, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Community Empowerment Association (CEA) will start off the Let The Healing Begin: Where Does Black Pain Go series on October 29th. The series is an educational  & solutions-based approaches to mental well-being. Workshops and presentations to address community health and wellness, and community culture. Each month will be a journey to build, educate and share tools to help the black community.

The series will start off with the topic of What Does Mental Health Mean To The Black Community?. With the first event of the series, it be an educational piece revolving mental health and mental illness within African Americans, the stigmas and how to handle it within the community. Along with the topic, we will break out into mini discussion groups on sub topics relating to mental health.
