YEAR OF DIVERSITY LUNCH AND LEARN EVENT

Sexuality, Disability, and Religion: An Inter-professional Training Seminar

A screening of the film “The States of Grace” followed by a panel discussion and Q&A

April 12, 2017  12-4 pm

2017 Cathedral of Learning

Q&A session moderated by Dr. Lauren Bishop- Fitzpatrick PhD (past University of Pittsburgh alum), Postdoctoral Fellow, Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin - Madison.  (Dr. Grace Dammann will be skyped in)

States of Grace intimately captures the profound transformation of a revered physician and her family in the wake of a life-changing accident.  Dr. Grace Dammann was a prominent HIV/AIDS physician who was honored by the Dalai Lama for her extraordinary work during the height of the epidemic.  In 2008, a routine commute across the Golden Gate Bridge turned tragic for Grace when another driver crashed head on into her car. Though she miraculously survived, she spent more than a year in rehabilitation hospitals.

Audience size is limited.  Please RSVP to kmp165@pitt.edu
