Master’s Overview
The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work has been one of the world’s leading social work institutions since 1934. Pitt’s MSW degree offerings include Direct Practice or Community Organization/Social Administration (COSA) programs in mental health; children, youth, and families; home and school visitor; and human services administration, to name a few. In addition, students with recently earned BASW degrees from accredited institutions will be considered for up to one semester of advanced-standing status.
Pitt students enjoy free access to public bus and light rail transportation in the Pittsburgh area. Affordable housing is minutes away and along most bus routes. Pitt is proud to be a part of Places Rated Almanac's “#1 Most Livable City in the United States.”
